Middle wins Live Oak Meet 05/11/12 - Track Place: 1st Yesterday, the Junior High Track team closed off their season with an incredible performance at the Liveoak Classic Meet held at the Baylor Track & Field Complex. The girls were well-represented with a 1st place finish by Lexi Newman and Philip MacLemore in the Softball Throw, and Grace Gardner placing 4th in the 800 meter run. Alexi Torres, Audra Atchley, Lucy McClinton, Araya Dove, and Megan Condon also performed well in their respective events. The boys came out strong with 1st place finishes in the 100 meter dash by Jacob Turnage, the 200 meter dash by Thomas Alcorn, the 400 meter dash by Davis Boehm, and both 7th and 8th grade boys long jumps by Thomas Alcorn and Aidan Whelan. Philip MacLemore placed second in the 1600 meter run, as did Aidan Whelan in the 800 meters. To cap off the team's incredible job, both 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams placed first, the latter setting a track meet record. The boys came back home with a 1st Place Team trophy for the Junior High Boys division. Way to go Vikings, and congratulations on a great season! Softball falls short of State 05/11/12 - Girls Softball Victoria Faith Academy 9 - Vanguard VG 3 The Softball team gave it their best effort but eventually fell 9-3 to Victoria Faith in the Regional Final on Thursday.
