Sweet Victory Against St. Joseph 01/30/10 - Girls Basketball The Lady Vikings have paved a smooth road into the playoffs this year. After easily defeating St. Joseph in Bryan in front of a large crowd, including our favorite fans who rode the bus from Waco, the girls are now tied for the District Championship spot. It was another beautifully executed team effort from everyone. Having three players scoring in double digits will continue to make us a hard team to beat. Rebecca Bond was on fire scoring 17, Hayley Johnson 13, Lauren Brown 12, Morgan Deaver 6, Sam Doty 2, Savannah Lawler 2, and Julie Boss with a very important free throw. Kelly Risinger played amazing defense but had to come out in the 2nd quarter due to an injury. Ashlei Storaska, Lydia Morrow, Michaela Morrow, Katie Stovall, Richelle Braswell and Liz Kriston were also able to get into the game and contribute to the win for the district title. DON'T miss our last home games of the season and Senior Night games against TCA on Tuesday. |
