JV Blue Ends Season on a High Note 02/03/10 - Boys Basketball The JV Blue basketball team was able to put together a great performance Tuesday night against TCA and pulled out the win 39-31. After trailing 12-3 in the first quarter, the Vikings held the Stars to 2 second quarter points and went into the half tied. Excellent rebounding in the second half gave the Vikings an opportunity for the win. Bilal Siddiq finished the year on a high note, notching his 5th double-double of the year with 11 points and 17 rebounds. Dylan Skelton ended his basketball career at Vanguard with 9 points and an excellent defensive performance. Blake Stovall (8 points), Riley DeWitt (9 points, 6-6 free throws), and Clay Herbort (2 points) also played well contributing 19 points combined in the effort. Caleb Treadwell and David Copeland also gave great effort off the bench defensively. Overall the JV Blue ended the year 6-7 and showed great improvement as they look forward to next year.
