Vanguard dominates track meet 03/04/10 - Track The Vanguard team dominated Thursday night at the Rice track meet. Our runners and throwers proved to be the top competition and class of this meet. Here are the highlights of the meet: Alex Probe= 1st- High Jump, 2nd- 800, 3rd- 400. Caleb Treadwell= 1st- 100, 1st- 200. Pfavery Bennett= 1st-400, 2nd- High Jump. Paul Ruiz= 3rd-1600, 4th- 400. Randy Olmstead= 1st –Discus, 2nd-Shot Put. Berkley Bonjonie= 3rd-Discuss, 3rd-Shot Put. Lydia Morrow= 1st- High Jump, 2nd-100, 2nd-200. Heather Tucker= 5th-100. Liz Kriston= 4th-400. Kat Felan= 2nd-Discuss, 3rd- Shot Put. Morgan Deaver= 1st-200. The boys 4 x 400 relay team (Bennett, Probe, Treadwell, Bonjonie) came in 2nd. The girls 4x 400 relay team (Morrow, Tucker, Kriston, Deaver) also came in 2nd. The team displayed much improvement from last week and promises to keep on working hard. |
