STATE CHAMPIONS 04/27/10 - Golf The Golf Team brought home yet another State Championship. Carter Caldwell led the Vikings with an impressive 75 & 77. Carter's final numbers won him his first, and what is believed to be Vanguard's first, individual Golf State Championship trophy. Ian Lovett was an 8th place overall medalist with a 76 & 88. Riley DuPuy shot an 84 & 83 placing him 11th overall. Riley DeWitt scored an 85 & 89, and Will Bauer an 86 & 92 also both contributing to the team's win. The team's two day total of 657 put them 13 strokes ahead of the second place team. Congratulations to the state team and also team members Chip McNair and Blake Stovall who helped the team advance and win both the District and Regional titles on the way to State. |
